How to change the Arduino font color in IDE 1
Have you ever wanted to change the font color in the Arduino IDE?
Maybe it is hard for you to read the light grey comments in the Arduino IDE, or maybe you prefer something a little bolder.
Whatever your reason, in this short video, I demonstrate a relatively easy way to change the font color of comments.

Hi, I’ve tested your hack but it doesn’t work fully. If I change color of “editor.comment1.style”, it’s work. But if I change color of “editor.comment2.style”, it’s always grey….
What’s the problem?

We cant change color for parentheses, brackets, numbers…
For a PC, it’s a bit easier to use wordpad rather than notepad because wordpad will format the text. To use wordpad, right-click on the theme.txt file, select “Open with”, and then select “Wordpad”. Also, this website: http://www.color-hex.com/ is a convenient way to determine what hex codes to enter.
Thanks for this Bill!
Thanks for this tutorial. The color change was easy but I really want to bold the comments. Any tips?
Thanks again for a clear and concise tutorial.
Hmmm…. Great question!

However, a work around maybe be selecting a heavier font than the default Monaco?
